Time like a prism splits the colours of my life
Turning the crystal
The facet of youth
Discloses energy, quickness, sexiness, frivolity
I miss these now
Turning the shard
The lens focuses on what I’ve gained
Emotional strength, love, contemplation, skills I’ve honed
I hold these now
Turning the lens
The burning glass consumes lost elements
Gullibility insecurity self-consciousness
I don’t miss these now
Turning the prism
The mirror shattered
Youth and age intertwined, two lives lived
Time like a prism fractures but contains everything
